Viriya at the Riften Fishery has been conducting research on breeding mudcrabs to harvest their meat, much like fish. She has issued a bounty for someone to obtain a juvenile mudcrab for her studies, but the last person to accept the bounty never returned. I should speak to her when I am ready to take over the bounty.

Viriya at the Riften Fishery has been conducting research on mudcrabs in the hopes that they could be more easily bred and harvested, much like fish. She has issued a bounty for someone to obtain a juvenile mudcrab for her studies, but the last person to accept the bounty never returned. I should try fishing one up myself in the streams and lakes in the temperate parts of Skyrim. One lake in particular is known to be teeming with mudcrab, which Viriya mentioned was west of Broken Fang Cave.
