Save analysis

Skyrim save analyzer

Load a Skyrim save to review matched quest progress, carried inventory, and supported item status alongside the public catalog. Premium save loading costs $5 USD once.

Tamriel Skyrim home page with catalog shortcuts and the save-loading access prompt.
Start from the public home and catalog. A signed-in Premium save adds supported progress and carried inventory to those same quest and item details.

Example: Hard Answers in a loaded save

The public Hard Answers page provides its source-backed start guidance, ordered timeline, rewards, and related locations. If a selected save contains evidence that resolves to this quest, enrichment can associate reached and completed progress with those rows; the same save context can also show the player inventory. The actual progress depends on the selected save.

How to use it

  1. STEP 1

Sign in and choose a save

Use a Skyrim .ess file from your device. Premium enables save loading; public catalog browsing and manual checklists remain available without it.

  2. STEP 2

    Let Tamriel match supported evidence

The browser parses the save and sends compact save evidence through the enrichment endpoint. Tamriel joins that evidence to its quest and item catalog.

  3. STEP 3

    Review progress in context

Open quest timelines, inventory, and catalog entries to see the progress the save format can prove, then follow their related quest, item, actor, or location links.

What save analysis adds

Quest progress with readable context

See matched quests and their source-backed objectives in order. Save evidence marks reached, completed, failed, or skipped progress where it can be resolved against the quest data.

The player inventory

Inspect carried item stacks, including equipped state and item improvements when the save contains them. Open an item to see its catalog relationships.

Catalog status from supported evidence

Quest completion, carried items, and other supported save evidence can update catalog status. Each status follows the evidence available for that item or quest.

A public catalog that stays useful without a save

Quest, NPC, item, magic, and location pages remain browseable without Premium. You can also mark concrete entries complete manually; signed-out changes stay in this browser until you sign in.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Is the .ess file uploaded?

The raw save file stays on your device and is parsed in the browser. The browser sends compact save-specific evidence to the existing application endpoint, where the catalog enrichment runs. So the full save is not uploaded, and the entire analysis does not stay local.

What do I need to load a save?

Sign in with a Premium account and select a Skyrim .ess file up to 16 MiB. Premium is a one-time $5 USD upgrade.

Can I use Tamriel without Premium?

Yes. The public Skyrim catalog and manual completion checklist are available without Premium. Premium is required for save-file loading and save-backed progress.

Will every quest or item status be known?

Only when the save exposes evidence the parser and catalog can resolve. Unsupported or missing evidence stays unavailable instead of being guessed.
